Residentials

At Castledon, we believe every learning experience should serve as a key to “unlocking the potential” of our young people. This belief extends to our residential experiences, which are designed with a specific purpose in mind. Our residential experiences aim to broaden horizons, encourage the understanding of diverse cultures, foster friendships within the peer group and the broader community, and ultimately empower our students with valuable life skills.

Benefits of a Residential Experience

Developing Independence: Going on a residential trip encourages students to step out of their comfort zone and embrace the world without their parents. For many children, a school trip will be the first time that they are away from their family, which aids social development through creating bonds with their peers and using initiative to problem-solve.

Improved Confidence and Self-Esteem: While on an adventure trip, students will overcome challenges and achieve things that they did not think possible. This gives them a significant confidence boost that they can carry into other areas of their life and learning.

Opportunities to Engage and Inspire: Getting students out of the classroom and into a more interactive environment is an excellent way to engage students.

Making Lifelong Memories: Ask many adults and the memory that stands out the most from school is a trip away. Students view the world differently and experience various cultures. A school residential trip may ignite a passion for travel, adventure, or even working abroad.
